FR Score
AG1, formerly known as Athletic Greens, was founded in 2010 by New Zealander Chris Ashenden. The privately held company lists its headquarters in Carson City, Nevada, with a European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Kat Cole succeeded Ashenden as chief executive in 2024.
AG1's flagship product is a daily powdered drink with more than 75 ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, whole-food-sourced ingredients, probiotics and adaptogens. For years it was sold almost entirely direct-to-consumer through the company's website, largely by subscription, but since 2025 it has expanded to Amazon, Costco, The Vitamin Shoppe and Target. The range now also includes AGZ, a nighttime drink, plus AG Omega softgels and vitamin D3+K2 drops. AG1 says each batch is tested for microbial contaminants, heavy metals, allergens and banned substances and publishes certificates of analysis, and NSF's Certified for Sport database lists AG1, AGZ, AG Omega and the D3+K2 drops.
