BlenderBottle traces its start to 2000, when Steve Sorensen bent a piece of hardware-store wire into the first BlenderBall whisk; he and his wife, Kim, then built the BlenderBottle Company out of a home-based business. The brand now belongs to Trove Brands, LLC, a company headquartered in Lehi, Utah, whose other labels include Owala, Whiskware, EcoBrite and Oath. BlenderBottle says it has more than 150 employees in the US.

BlenderBottle makes shaker bottles that use a free-moving BlenderBall wire whisk to mix protein powders and other drink mixes. The range includes the Classic, Pro Series, Strada and SportMixer shakers, insulated stainless-steel models, and GoStak stackable storage containers. The company says its products are sold in more than 60,000 retail stores in 90 countries, and it also sells directly through its own website.
