Cellucor is the original brand of Nutrabolt, an Austin, Texas-based sports nutrition and beverage company that launched the Cellucor line in 2002. Nutrabolt also owns C4 and XTEND, holds a stake in Bloom Nutrition, and counts Keurig Dr Pepper as a minority investor.
Cellucor is best known for C4, the pre-workout line it introduced in 2011, which has grown into a family of pre-workout powders such as C4 Original, C4 Ultimate, C4 Ripped and C4 Sport, along with C4 energy drinks and protein. Under the Cellucor name the company also sells COR-Performance creatine, newer creatine blends and SuperHD products. Its products are sold online and at major retailers; Cellucor first entered GNC stores in 2009. Some products carry third-party certification: several C4 items, including C4 Sport, C4 Ripped Sport and C4 Performance Energy, are listed as NSF Certified for Sport, and Cellucor appears on the Informed Choice and Informed Sport certified-brand lists.
Testing & quality
Some products are third-party certified: C4 Sport, C4 Ripped Sport, C4 Performance Energy, C4 Smart Energy and Cellucor Whey Sport items are listed as NSF Certified for Sport, and Cellucor is on the Informed Choice and Informed Sport certified-brand lists. Nutrabolt says its certified products are made in GMP-compliant, NSF-certified facilities audited annually or twice a year.
