David is a high-protein food brand based in New York City, co-founded by Peter Rahal, who previously co-founded RXBAR, and Zachary Ranen. The company's website lists 2023 as its founding year, and its first protein bar went on sale in September 2024. In 2025 David raised a Series A round and acquired Epogee, the maker of EPG, a plant-based fat alternative used in its bars.

David is known for bars with a high protein-to-calorie ratio, with 28 grams of protein and 150 calories in its core bars, and it has expanded into protein shakes, frozen dessert pints and wild-caught cod. It sells online and through grocery and convenience retailers. David says every production batch is tested by independent labs for protein content, heavy metals, phthalates, PFAS and bisphenols, publishes the results on its website, and makes its products in an SQF Level 3-certified facility.
