FR Score
Liquid I.V. is a powdered hydration brand founded in 2012 by entrepreneur Brandin Cohen. Unilever agreed to acquire the company in 2020, and it is now part of Unilever's wellbeing business. Liquid I.V. describes itself as based in Los Angeles; at the time of the Unilever deal it was based in El Segundo, California.
Its core product is Hydration Multiplier, an electrolyte drink mix sold in single-serve sticks and multi-serve tubs that the company classifies as an oral rehydration solution, built on sodium, potassium and glucose. The range also includes Sugar-Free versions made with allulose and amino acids, plus +Energy, +Immune Support and kids' formulas. Liquid I.V. sells on its own website and in thousands of U.S. stores, and it says more than 1% of its revenue goes to an impact program focused on clean water access and product donations. The company says it tests every lot for gluten at an ISO 17025-accredited lab, and one Sugar-Free flavor is listed in NSF's Certified for Sport database.
