DripDrop is an oral rehydration solution (ORS) brand created by Dr. Eduardo Dolhun, a San Francisco family physician who became interested in oral rehydration therapy as a medical student during a 1993 cholera outbreak in Guatemala. He began developing the formula in 2007 and started manufacturing in 2010. The company, DripDrop Hydration, PBC, lists 2008 as its founding year and is based in San Francisco. As a public benefit corporation, it donates product to humanitarian and disaster-relief efforts.
DripDrop sells electrolyte powder sticks built on ORS formulation, which pairs sodium with glucose, in original and Zero Sugar versions, and in January 2026 it added Zero Sugar Plus. The brand sells through its own website and retail partners, and it promotes its products to healthcare workers, emergency responders, military personnel and athletes. Its FAQ says the 16-ounce DripDrop and DripDrop Zero sticks are NSF Content Certified, and NSF's Certified for Sport database lists several DripDrop flavors.
