complete EAAs first, BCAAs second
If muscle growth is the goal, a formula with all nine essential amino acids is better supported by research than BCAAs alone, because your body needs every EAA to build new muscle protein. Check the leucine dose too: studies of protein feeding often point to roughly 2 to 3 g of leucine per meal as a strong trigger for muscle protein synthesis. A BCAA-only product can still make sense as a flavorful training drink, especially if you train fasted, but it shouldn't replace protein. And if you already hit your daily protein target, expect modest returns from either type.
