The verdict
The Hypervolt 2 is a lighter, longer-lasting take on one of the most familiar massage guns in pro locker rooms, with three speeds, five heads and Hyperice's QuietGlide motor. Reviewers rate it neck-and-neck with the Theragun Prime: it wins on battery life and attachments, while the Prime offers more speeds and grip angles.

Overview
The Hypervolt 2 is Hyperice's mid-range full-size gun. It pairs a brushless 60W motor with three speeds, five attachments (fork, ball, cushion, flat and bullet), a pressure sensor to guide intensity and Bluetooth pairing with the Hyperice App for guided warm-up and recovery routines. Hyperice rates the battery at up to three hours, it weighs 1.8 pounds, and it's TSA-friendly for travel. Hyperice launched a Hypervolt 3 line in 2026, but the Hypervolt 2 is still sold new at $229 and has a much deeper bench of reviews.
What reviewers say
Best Massage Tech's launch review framed it as an evolution rather than a revolution: the same stroke length and nearly the same stall force as the original Hypervolt, but lighter, more ergonomic and with an extra hour of battery life. BarBend's head-to-head with the Theragun Prime called the matchup close, giving the Hypervolt 2 the edge on battery life and attachments and the Prime the edge on speeds and grip angles, and concluded that neither would lead you astray. Reviewed ranks it among the best massage guns it has tested, citing its quiet noise level and five heads, with the caveat that it may feel unwieldy for smaller users. Notably, BarBend found both guns similarly loud at their top speeds, so QuietGlide is quiet rather than silent.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants premium, well-built percussion for legs, shoulders and arms, values long battery life, and prefers a straightforward pistol-grip design.
Bottom line
Quiet, durable and simple, the Hypervolt 2 is a proven full-size gun at a fair price. Pick it over the Theragun Prime if battery life and included attachments matter more to you than extra speeds and grip options.
